History: The Valor family is world renowned for being a family that hunts the darkness that populate Galiavan’s surface. They are those who hunt demons, and the vile creatures of the night. Cyrus Jebediah Valor is the 55 year old patriarch of the family, who in his youth held somewhat of a hero status among most populated areas. Tales of his legendary feats spread wide, and he was and somewhat still is the number one cited source for the Demon Hunting lifestyle; being the author of 50+ Demon Hunting Manuals used by many novice hunters in our current day.


Alistair is the youngest of Cyrus’ children. He is one of the more reckless and mouthy Valor’s in the family tree, but is a good, honest young man. Also known for being restless, he has travelled across Galiavan from the rather isolationist Beijio, through war torn Domescadia and the frosty far North. He was lucky to train with the monks of Beijio and Domescadia, and with the White Wolves Scouts of the Far North. For a time, he served in the Scardian Navy before he was kicked out for his inability to follow orders.

History:
The younger brother to Toshiro Kibara, the current head of the Kibara clan, and generally seen as the 'number two' so to speak in terms of the family relations and the public eye. He's otherwise an unassuming, scrawny young man who can't amount to anything in life given his idiot brother's superiority, so thus has thrown himself completely into the merchant trade. He is a pragmatic individual, not for one to look into theories without proof, and at the same time, seems to be the spoiled sort who enjoys overindulging in wine, the arts, women and pleasantries. In the eye of the public, he's your typical rich boy who isn't worth a second glance; you know his type, and you know that they're just as pompous as the next rich noble.

However, Yasuyuki, wouldn't want you to think any more of him; he's glad that your perspective of him is where it is, for the truth of the matter is... he's worse.

He is perhaps, more ideal of leadership for the Kibara than his idiot brother, who openly has a tantrum and screams for the attention, attention Yasu would rather avoid. Yasu has taken well to being left in the shadows, to be the one nobody looks at. This is because he has profited nicely in his invisibility, becoming the head of the second most feared Yakuza in the Beijio Empire-the Dridder's Web, who practically own the Markets of Beijio and often come to blows with Busujima's Yakuza she has under her payroll. He has the brains, but he's no pushover either, having learned from the same mentors that the Garamonde Clan have had for centuries, as well as being well practiced in hand to hand martial arts and assassination techniques, having killed the assassin who taught him. He's a dangerous viper who dislikes ugly, repulsive things... including bad associates. If a partnership has worn out its welcome, or if someone is no longer useful to him, he discards it. "Why keep garbage? A gangrenous limb? Sever it, cast it aside already... there is no use to an arm that can't grab, or a mule that won't work..."

Like his brother however, he is interested in returning the Kibara clan to its glory after years of losing territory to the Busujima, Beijiosaki and Tangeshima clans... but his brother thinks small and speaks loudly, invoking a lot of unnecessary attention while he plots another approach to regaining the lost power...


Weapons: Yoshiyuki Kibara Murasame- A tachi with a deep curve and long blade, often mistaken for a two hand nodachi, but was built for those of the Kibara clan due to their unusual height. It was crafted by a famous swordsmith in the days before the formation of Beijio, and has often transferred down the Kibara line through the male heir, but has landed in Yasuyuki's hands due to scheming.

History:
The twin brother of Areyn Highsworth, the current blacksmith of the Whitetower, a position held by their father Sharis Highsworth, and his father before him and so on. The Highsworths were one of the families who were part of the original order of the White Tower. While his brother Areyn inherited the role of the hammer, Ardyn took the role of the sword, and inherited his family’s trademark strength and God like agility. His most remembered, public accomplishment was besting Lord Blade-Breaker in a wrestling contest some five odd years ago, during the White Light Festival. Like his father before him, he is a good man and highly capable warrior, often sent on dangerous missions on behalf of the White Tower and/or the Royal Guard. He’s known as the Golden Eyed Wolf of Cretu or the White Tower, for his eyes become gold when tapping into a strange, long forgotten ability that makes him faster than the wind itself- the traditional nickname among members of the Highsworth heritage being the ‘Scardian Wind’, a title he also carries.  

It is said, the Highsworth family became nobility upon aiding an aging Scar’d in a final battle with a dragon, before the God-King ascended. Some say, the Highsworths are the most agile, and fastest in terms of speed, among all Scardians, perhaps even Scar’d himself.

Ardyn trains his brother’s young son, Cyrus, in the art of warfare due to their father’s passing some years ago. The young boy looks up to his Uncle, and Ardyn tries to always leave a good impression on the young lad.

In spite of this, only a handful know that Ardyn is in fact partially possessed by a demonic wolf spirit that once plagued Scardia, a beast even Scar’d himself could not kill. The spirit became stable once attaching itself to a young, drowned Ardyn who revived once the binding was complete. It was thanks to the likes of Hrothor and his father for such a miracle to befall him. Since then, the beast’s powers add to Ardyn’s, and admittedly, explains his prideful, and sometimes darker nature he has when in combat. Still… the wolf within hardly slips out less tested.

Special Abilities:
Scardian Abilities: Like any true Scardian and those born within her borders, Scardians by their very nature have the following stats, thanks to the will of the High King Scar’d upon his ascension into the War God Ranks, centuries ago. It's also these abilities which disqualify many Scardians from world sporting events such as the Mu-Irzik arena, unless specified otherwise.
-Scardian Speed/Agility: All Scardians (those born in her borders), are given unsurpassed speed and agility, much like the War God himself. No matter body type or size, as long as they are still able to use their legs, after the age of thirteen Scardians will feel as though they are the very winds themselves.
-Scardian Healing/Frost & Water Discipline: All Scardians can heal shallow to moderately deep wounds with snow, frost, and water; much like Scar’d had when he was a lad. They are also immune to the cold pinch of the frozen landscapes, the tundras to the north a non-existent obstacle for the average Scardian who can take the cold, and not feel it’s icy bite. Heavier wounds become shallower when ice/water is applied, but will need further medical attention to effectively stop bleeding.
-Scardian Strength: All Scardian born also show an extreme strength that is unlike other races of man or beast-kin. Even beast-kin of Scardian born are given this trait, making them appear like monsters with the ability to lift more than the average human.

-Scar’d’s Flashstep Technique: Ardyn, was the original originator of this technique, which since has been lost to recorded history. He is one of the only Scardian’s able to match, or surpass the speed and agility of Scar’d as told in the legends surrounding the founding father of Scardia. His movements are so quick, he seems to almost vanish from the physical realm. Because of this, Ardyn is regarded to be the ‘fastest moving and reacting mortal alive’.

-Sense Demonic Presences: Due to certain training, Ardyn can see and feel the energy of Demons as well as spot those hidden in plain sight.

-Spirit of the Wolf: He carries within him, the soul of a demonic wolf that once terrorized Scardia many years ago. The soul has since fused with his body, giving him access to magics and dark abilities that would be unbefitting of a proper Scardian Knight.



Magic Abilities:
-Cryokinesis: Ardyn has the power to control frost, ice and snow to a limited extent.

  • Ice Blast - He can swing an arc of ice from his blade, or imbue it with his other skills such as his Aerokinesis to cause enemies to freeze and also fly by the powers of the wind.
  • Ice shield - He can create a shield of ice. The shield is hard enough to withstand superhuman strength, but fire elements can easily destroy it.
  • Ice Spikes - He can create large, dangerous, pointed spikes made of ice, or summon them like projectiles and send them at distant foes.
  • Freeze Shot- Ardyn can magically imbue his bullets/projectiles with the element of Ice if moisture is present in the air. The shot that lands, despite if they are armored or not, will freeze the being with a thin layer of ice, but not thick enough to do more than freeze them temporarily in place, as shattering the ice will release them.

-Aerokinesis: Ardyn has the power to control the air to a limited extent.

  • Create Wind - Ardyn can create ice out of thin air.
  • Enhance Speed - Ardyn can enhance his already blinding speed to simply bulldoze through enemies, as a barrier of air wraps around him as he springs forward with enhanced speed. The results of which, cause enemies to fly almost comically, and they will most certainly feel it. When his eyes begin to glow like light reflecting off a Wolf’s eyes, he can also surround the barrier of wind with a demonic energy, making this action deadly.
  • Repel- Ardyn can create a shield of wind which repels projectiles such as stones, bullets, arrows and rockets.
  • Aero Hike - Ardyn can create a footing of wind powerful enough to allow him to jump or vault to higher locations, as well as break his fall from far heights.
  • Tornado Blast: Ardyn can create a tornado that targets his enemies by swinging his blade at them or by forming the tornado around him. He can add a further step by imbuing the wind of the tornado with Demonic Aura, allowing him to not only blow enemies away but infect/splash them with his deady demonic energy.
  • Supersonic Load - Ardyn can imbue his projectiles with the power of wind, if air is present. The ability grants his bullets, no matter how heavy they are to be surrounded by a cone of fast moving air, which causes the projectile to shoot at a higher velocity, and thus cause deeper penetration.

-Geokinesis: Ardyn has the power to control earth to a limited extent.

  1. Rock Body - Ardyn can cover their entire body with rock like armor.
  2. Blast Back Rounds - Ardyn will imbue his projectiles with the power of earth, using their own metallic and earthly origins to cause his bullets to ‘spread’ and flatten out much more than they should upon impact, causing the enemy to be stopped in their tracks by the heavier round.
  3. Contain Shot: Ardyn will imbue his projectiles, causing them with the petrification powers, allowing him to contain his foes in a layer of earth if the element is present in the environment.

-Pyrokinesis: Ardyn has the power to control fire to a limited extent.

  1. Fire Blast: Ardyn can send a wave of fire at their enemies with their weapons, or combine it with other powers like his Aerokinesis to cause a tornado of flame, and he can also turn the flames to blinding white with demonic energy, causing them to burn through almost anything.
  2. Fire Body: Ardyn can create a ball of fire around his fists, and other parts of his body as well.And as stated before, can turn the flames white, for extra damage and mayhem.
  3. Explosive Shot: Ardyn imbues his projectiles with the power of combustion, which causes the projectile (unless already explosive) to explode upon impact with the target, spreading shrapnel and flame across his enemy’s body. However, air or a combustible element must be present in order for the effect to take hold.
  4. Flame Rounds: Ardyn will imbue his projectiles with fire, causing them to burst into flame upon hitting the enemy, covering them in fire. However, air has to be present in order for the fire to be conjured.

-Electrokinesis: Ardyn can manipulate magical electrical/lightning based energy

  1. Electric Body - Ardyn can create an electric ball around his fists, and other parts of his body as well.
  2. Discharge - Ardyn can release an electric discharge by touching his enemies.
  3. Volt-Shot: Ardyn can imbue his projectiles with electricity, which upon hitting a surface disperses a magical electric current. Shooting multiple bullets causes them to 'arc' between each other.

-Umbrakinesis: Ardyn can magically manipulate shadows.

  1. Create Darkness - Ardyn can ‘gloomify’ and create an absence of light at will.
  2. Create Shadow Marionette - Ardyn creates a puppet made of shadow that is partially infused with his energy, allowing them to attack enemies within the darkness. However, they can be easily destroyed by light.
  3. Create Binds - Ardyn can create chains/tentacles/tendrils/threads from the darkness that bind his foes till light is shined upon the binds or they are removed.
  4. Cloak - Ardyn can cloak his body with shadows, his presence removed, and slip between shadows to avoid detection, much like a Terroronian.
  5. Shadow Discharge - Ardyn can cause shadows to take physical form with the Demonic energy ability, become spikes, then explode; generally using his foe’s shadows as the primary element in such an action.
  6. Dark Energy Manipulation: Though not having full control, Ardyn can direct and manipulate dark energy from the element of ‘dark matter’ to an extent, and thus imbue his weapons or body as a catalyst. However, he cannot conjure pure Dark Energy out of thin air.

-Forcefield: Ardyn can create a demonic magical shield to withstand bullets, blasts, blows and explosions. The greater the size or density of the shield the more effort it takes to hold.

She is the frequently absent, Crown Princess of Scardia, Saehild Bright-Spear. She is the daughter of Ysolda the Lioness, a legendary warrior dragoon from Clan Bright-Spear whose military prowess and combat expertise helped dissuade the overthrowing of Eastern Scardia by a band of thieves under the rule of the ‘Bandit King’. Her mother’s loyalty, expertise, and beauty gained her many admirers, including that of the Prince, now current High King of Scardia.

She doesn’t remember much of her childhood with her parents, who were often too busy for her, running the country and all. She’s a decent horse rider, but nowhere skilled as her mother, who is a legend. She is, however, very skilled with the use of the sword and greatsword, and carries the blade Clarent, a great sword that is paired with her father’s sword, Glacien, a replica of Glacis. She respects and loves her mother, but also finds the woman a cold taskmaster who hardly spends enough time to train her in the arts she has mastered, often finding her glaring at her from a distance. Because of this, Saehild is usually never in the castle, and is often found in the Scardian Countryside dressed as a commoner and getting up to mischief with the common man.

She’s sometimes seen as a slacker in the eyes of her teachers at the White Tower, but looks up to all of the upper knights and Paladins, especially Sir Highsworth who is one of the faster Scardian Warriors in the kingdom.

History:

A warrior of the White Tower and a grunt guard of the Royal Army despite her Noble Rank, Natasha 'Tasha' Dragonwind hails from the Dragonwind Noble Family that can trace their lineage to the company of Scar'd, the first High King of all Scardia, and the War God of the Scardian people. Filled with determination, she requested to be treated like any other commoner upon entering military service at fifteen, to the behest of her parents who had to deal with her older brother vanishing. The 26 year old Dragonwind and heir apparent to the Dragonwind family vanished not too long after Tasha's birthday. She knows the truth behind his disappearance, for the man had confided to her to never tell but so as to write to him should she need his aid or felt lonely.

Kiyoshi 'Nene' Sanada is already a young prodigy in the making, and is one of the Beijio's 'Seven Spears' - warriors so gifted with the spear or naginata that they are awarded a rank and title and regarded as a hero on the likes of the Busujima Clan's 'Thunder Beast', Ms. Sanada is rank 7, the lowest tier, but still an honored title. Her clan is a uniquely small one, but has always produced a 'Spear of Beijio' since the fall of the Benzi era. Her clan trains closely with the Beijiosaki and Busujima, and it was from these sparring sessions she crossed paths with Lady Hiyori who made her one of the latter's 'Divine Blades', a retainer who travels closely with Lady Hiyori and assists her on special missions bestowed upon her by the Emperor or Shogun.

History:

A woman born in Izhevesk to Scardian and Izhevesk parents, she was raised in Scardia at the White Tower till she was eighteen, when she decided to join the Galideno Military Concordat.

Ana was born with a silver tongue and an inspiring air about her, and quickly became an officer and then became tasked with the Artillery Wing's Special Armoured Division, which develops power armor for Vanguard Forces in the present era. That cool demeanor, iron will and simply oozing with skill however leaves confronting her a pretty intense scenario! Most people are intimidated to be near a highly decorated and inspiring woman so she doesn’t enjoy the comforts of company often- leaving her at times to be very forward and willing to accept company at odd times! She yearns for companionship at times, but hides this with her cool, stoic appearance.

However, Major Hemlock enjoyed the company of 2nd Lieutenant Jack Caligo while on a joint task force mission in Domescadia recently. The young twenty one year old was enamored by her charisma and beauty, like so many others, and like others more brazenly, asked if he could sleep with her. Unlike the others though, she did not turn him down given his odd sincerity about it, plus his looks and similar mindset to her helped. After that first night, they were copulating every other night against her better judgment and she soon found out that making love in the desert sand is very… irritating. The romance was short lived, however, as the Lieutenant was soon captured and beheaded by the 8th Legion of Abdel’s forces not too long after that; killed buying the Major and the bulk of their forces time to flee. She commended his sacrifice and put in word that Caligo be remembered and awarded the highest military honors in the Galideno Concordat.
She also enjoys a friendship with a young (for an elf) and impressionable elf who is half her own age her senior and also shares the Major’s name: Anastasia Loreathan. The pair met recently while Hemlock was returning to Galideno, stopping by the White Tower to say hello to Hrothor and potentially drop by Valundar’s place for a friendly visit. The young knight in training got along pretty well with Hemlock, and soon both women would be headed back to Gailden together.

History:
Captain Olga Briar of the Domescan 8th Legion Desert Corps, formerly a Scardian native and White Tower Knight who had been captured, tortured and sent to 'Haawiyah' to live out her sentence. Like the few who do survive Abdel's prison, she became brainwashed by the principles of Abdel in order to survive and eventually lost her sense of self and who she was inside. The woman she once was died as she filed her teeth like a mershark and returned home, murdering her family a year ago. She was formerly with Inari's Fox Fires due to her skill with flying planes as her father had been a member of the Scardian Royal Air Service, but was kicked out due to her butting heads with the Lieutenant and Commander. She was sent to the Desert Corps unit, which are a defensive 'rear guard' unit as punishment, but was eventually transferred into the 8th Legion- which are the elite protectors of Abdel's territories and know the deserts like the back of their hands on top of being allowed to make use of any weapon or vehicle at the Sultanate's disposal to defend the country and territories of the Black Emperor.

Scardian Abilities: Like any true Scardian and those born within her borders, Scardians by their very nature have the following stats, thanks to the will of the High King Scar’d upon his ascension into the War God Ranks, centuries ago. It's also these abilities which disqualify many Scardians from world sporting events such as the Mu-Irzik arena, unless specified otherwise.

-Scardian Speed/Agility: All Scardians (those born in her borders), are given unsurpassed speed and agility, much like the War God himself. No matter body type or size, as long as they are still able to use their legs, after the age of thirteen Scardians will feel as though they are the very winds themselves.

History:
A 'nuevo' civilian of the Beijio Empire, a woman of the peasantry or lower nobility now capable of working closely with the Beijionese Government with the ability to rise to the station of Nobility within Beijio's Noble Housing Caste Systems via military application and government recommendations. She studied at the 'Modernized' Military academy of Tangeshima Military Academy, and briefly fell into a romantic/lust relationship with one of the Tangeshima sons, Munemasa. Given his rank, she was not allowed to pursue this relationship further, and was eventually caught by one of the prefects while making love to Munemasa. Punishment in oldertimes would have ranged from a public execution via hanging, beheading, burning or being fed to the Beijionese Dragon. However, the President of the Academy, Munemasa's father, granted her amnesty on Munemasa's behalf but resorted to kicking her out to appease the other nobility. He, however, recommended her to join Dr. Kamura's research team as she is always in constant need for temps and research assistants. Should she complete her five year contract, she may reenter the academy and will be risen to the station of middle nobility, which would allow her and Munemasa to continue their eloption. That was five years ago, and she's now in the final months of her contract with her miserable, dangerous charge!

Yuuko Oomachi is respectful, courteous, and meek; the a-typical Beijionese rose and bachelorette. She is still in love with Munemasa Tangeshima, a Noble of the Tangeshima House, and as mentioned, love affair wound her nearly executed and expelled from the Military Academy. She is very studious, and a brilliant thinker and delver of the latest technological crazes.

She wishes to fulfill her contract working under Dr. Kamura as a temp research assistant, one of many, as they tend to drop like flies working alongside the adventurous and reckless vampire explorer and biologist. She managed to survive five years, and the woman still doesn't call her by her name correctly, often opting for her 'nickname' Lucca, which is lost on Yuuko entirely and is much to her annoyance.

Her expertise in technology, combat skills, piloting and dead languages has made her a valuable temp in Reiri's service, but as it comes to the final days of her contract... will she be able to survive long enough to finally return to her old life or wind up in the belly of some Gods forsaken beast...?

Magic Resistance: She has a certain level of Magic Resistance thanks to her Beijionese blood.
Beijionese Breathing: She can hold her breath very long compared to other mortals, thanks to her Beijionese Blood.
Chi Sense: She can sense the 'chi' flow of individuals nearby, especially those with ill intent.
Fortified Strength: Despite her size, Yuuko has honed her body in a manner which outwardly hides her fearsome strength. She is capable of lifting individuals heavier than herself above her head as well as perform powerful blows in the form of elbow thrusts which can penetrate even thick armor and defenses with a micro shock wave delivered from the blow.

Climbing: Due to her training, Yuuko is an expert with climbing surfaces and is skilled at free running.
Wall Run: She can run across the flat surfaces of walls for a short period of time, tied in with her climbing abilities.
Stealth: Also because of her training, Yuuko is a master of stealth.
Clothing: with her revealing outfit its easy for her male opponents to get distracted giving her the opportunity to defeat them.
Sword Step: Can support her weight on any blade/pole
Sword Grab: Concentrating her energy, she can catch the blade of an opponent's downward swing without injury.
Pyrotechnical Attacks: Yuuko can explode a bomb to fend off her opponent.
Bonebreaking Taijutsu: Yuuko can use specific hand-to-hand fighting skills, grabs and acrobatic moves to break the bones of her opponents.


Magic Abilities:
Chi Mending: An ability which she channels the chakra, or chi, of her body to mend the wounds of allies or herself. However, the constant practice is physically demanding and eats at her body, causing fatigue and hunger when in prolonged use.
Seals: Yuuko has an array of seals to her disposal. She can reverse a victim's motor functions to perform the exact opposite motion of what was intended (Example: walking backwards), prevent her enemy's powers for a time, or prevent her opponent from attacking for a time.
