River Valley and Beijio Ridge

A beautiful and grassy valley with a snaking freshwater river leading into the Mountains and GreaT Beijio Woods, all overlooked by the Beijio Ridge. It is a mostly untamed valley, save a few outposts for trading and only one or two small Beijionese cabins. It's also a great place to gather alchemical and medicinal ingredients.

A light wind blew from the west to the east, rustling the leaves and branches of the trees in the valley, while ruffling the lace of a tall dark figure's umbrella and dress as she walked through the fenced off cemetery located in the depths of the valley:



"Ughh... what a distasteful morning. So much sun..." sighed the palid beauty. She was over 7' tall, roughly 7'3 with long raven hair in a Beijionese Himecut that covered her eyes, with the said bangs being stark white in coloration. Her lips were glossy ebony, plush and plump as her body. Her body... was absolutely curvaceous. From her ample and gigantic bosom...



...to her lavish, child rearing hips. A well endowed and rounded rump that currently rested on a tombstone as she leans over a patch of corpse flowers, one of a few alchemical ingredients she was going to sell in the city if they blossomed well enough. Morrigan Ravana Fiora Grieg was this Junoesque beauty's name, a widow, a mother of two and a writer and part time fortune teller by trade. Formerly, however... she was a well connected member of Teronian society. A Shadowblade, a prestigious and honored warrior of shadow amongst her fellow Teronians; a high class assassin.

Not many could tell, as she was soft spoken and kept to herself for the most part since she left Teronia for Beijio a couple of years back. She saved Daichi Beijiosaki from Ebonshade poisoning and even kept him secreted away from Domescadian agents around that time. She was in need of a locale change anyway... the Griegs had their fill of Teronia for three life times after the death of her husband Alastair. However, people were still very cautious and suspicious of her countrymen and for good reason! They could appear from any shadow and conjure weapons from the darkness that could slip by anyone's notice. In short, they were unpredictable spies and potential assassins to worry about. She got a pass by the Shogun, for saving his life, but beyond him not many know Morrigan's true origins. Kiriko did, but she was 'wise beyond her years' and nothing got past that sly fox...

Morrigan sighed, as she rummaged through the flowers, her generous and gelatinous breasts hung and swayed beneath her like a pendulum as she complained about the outdoors and the blaring sun...

A dark portal seemed to open from the shadows cast by the trees and the tombstones into the grass, and a figure ruse from the portal, it's form giving off a black smoke like effect for a few moments before color and shape formed, and the shadows receded revealing a tall armored man. He had a dapper mustache, and slicked back dark auburn hair that was well groomed. His crimson eyes glinting in the sunlight. He smiled when he laid eyes on Morrigan.



"Ah, Greetings lady Morrigan. How are you adjusting to life away from the madness on Terronia?" greeted the familliar voice of Galaerion, a man on a mission to rescue the Terronian people from Abdel's madness.

She didn't seem surprised by his presence, given her former rank and ability. Galaerion was a member of the Council of 13, its current head to be precise if things were still in favor of the Teronian peoples. She didn't alter her actions to his arrival, as she was still steadfast in her mission to find only the best corpse flowers before she'd continue on to Deathbells, Cave Moss and Moonflower Lilies, which were very rare in this area of the world- they were more prevalent in Amaine's Woods that was more than three days ride eastward from Beijio, going towards Galideno and that frontier village, Danton.

"...just dandy, under this blazing sun. I hate it." she sighed. "Things were far better when Abdel's Father was still alive. Being a Teronian of the Sultan's Shadow Guard used to mean something, before becoming pawns for that power hungry git." She added, clapping her hands before standing and finally turning to face the shorter man. "Fancy you showing up for a visit, Councilman Galaerion, especially out here in the 'boonies'. Even though you're from Beijio originally, I'd have never imagine to see you out here in this old grave yard." She explained, holding a pair of very beautiful looking flowers.



She held them out. "Beijionese Corpse Flowers... also known as Red Spider Lilies. They supposedly only grow in former battlefields or where corpses are hidden. They link the soul to the netherworld, and sprout in the presence of the Yokai and those highly attuned to the land of spirits." She says, with a slight smirk, sniffing them. "They also smell pleasant, just don't eat them. You'll drop dead from its toxins... or maybe, the Underworld simply pulls your soul away given how they are connected?" She hums in a playful, cryptic manner.

Galaerion stood beside Morrigan, looking over the valley and it's seas of flowers, plants and gravestones. "Yes, well, I do need to check in on all the free Terronians to make sure you're all doing ok. That clown of a Black King is not above sending out spies, saboteurs and kidnappers to drag escaped Terronians back into his clutches." he closed his eyes solemnly. "Our population dwindles every day... We won't last much longer if he continues like this."

Galaerion's eyes turned skyward. "Unfortunately, he still has Lady Gilgamesh in his possession. She will not leave until the rest are free. She believes she can do more good while remaining embedded in his regime. But, time is running out. War is coming..." He took the flower offered by Morrigan and looked at it, and what it represented. "And when that happens, these flowers will be the only thing that blooms in this world..."

"Its not coming, it's already here. Sure, there may be a ceasefire, but anyone with half a mind knows that just means both sides are building up their forces. Since the Coreal Islands between Lux and Domescadia was invaded five or six years ago by Abdel's troops and Galideno not wanting the Black Emperor to travel any further south by any means, full on war between the Holy Galideno Concordat and Abdel's Legions has been lingering like a cheap bottle of Feniran Red... I'm a fortune teller these days, and you don't need me to point to the signs that the war is going to absorb the other civilized nations if not some of the primitive ones to boot." Morrigan sighed. "Spies are only the first part of it, soon you'll see soldiers posted at border villages. If it gets very serious, Beijio itself may even have to adopt a 'Modern' Regiment of Troops equipped with modern equipment just to keep their more skilled warriors in reserves for the defense of Beijio City, the Shogun Daichi Beijiosaki, and the Emperor Garamonde and his son, Balinwulf; but the prince's fiancee, Busujima Hiyori Gozen will probably fry any would be invaders to a crisp." She says, turning her face his direction; her beautiful crimson gaze still obscured by her white bangs.

Galaerion huffed at the thought of a ceasefire. "He's biding time, time to consume us to empower himself further. That was always his plan" he affirmed.

He gave Morrigan back her flower. "There's only so much the scion of the Busujima clan can do alone.... In fact, there's only so much any of us psosess power can do individually. None of us are strong enough to defeat what Abdel has aligned himself with. Which is why Daichi's blood brother, classmate and friend from the White tower has started working on something that could hopefully tip the balance back in our favor. Still, even that man cannot do it alone... there are many of us working towards thwarting Abdel's war plans as much as we can. I hope it is enough."

He shook his head a little. "Anyways, I hope you are adjusting well enough. You don't seem to thrilled." he smiled a little. "Heh, just remember, without the light, shadow cannot exist. Without light, all would be consumed by darkness."

"It would take a very cunning individual to penetrate Beijio's defences. It would have to take someone from the inside to do that..." she sighed. "But if it came to such, it would be very 'bothersome' indeed. It doesn't take a fortune teller to see that the Shogun's 'blood brother' will have to settle his differences with Tenik Industrial if there is to be an edge over Abdel's forces. The Tenik who wronged him has long since been dead. The man in power now is that man's ailing son, whose light is fated to burn out before the year's end... if he does not get a move on, who knows who will take President Tenik's place. Will it be the Military Council? Or maybe it will be that 'Holy' Zealot of Hazoria, the Grand Bishop? Valundar should know very well the Sins of the Father do not fall to the Child. The current president's misfortune is the result of his father's misdoings, there is nothing more gained from not cooperating." She explained.

She half scoffed at his remark about the light. "Heh, that may well be true, but it doesn't have to be so bloody bright. Even too much light leaves no room for the dark." She sighed, lowering her umbrella so she could shade her face.

Galaerion grimaced. "You ask much of him then. You know as well as I do what Valundar has suffered, as does Daichi and Hrothor. While he doesn't blame the son for the father's sin, he still holds Tenik Industrial as a whole responsible for following that accursed order to deny the curative that was already paid for, and it cost Scardia many innocent lives... That is not a sin one easily forgives. Money is one thing, but deliberately allowing lives to be extinguished for no reason is another. Still..."

Galaerion took a small brightly glowing blue gemstone like rock from his pocket. A purified shard of Bavarium, and he stared into it. "Valundar is occupied at this moment... He's trying to get a certain project off the ground, to make it work. I just hope he has enough time... Without it, we'd be forced into a slugging match with Abdel's military forces, which could buy him all the time he needs to open that accursed portal... And then Hell follows."
