Training Courtyard

Daichi took a pleasant walk to the back end of the palace, weaving his way through the many corridors and halls through the multi-level palace grounds Kaede's ancestors had built. The Beijiosaki's built Beijio, gave it its namesake. Being born a Higa, he didn't know how he'd feel serving a Dynasty who usurped your own several centuries ago; but what Daichi did know was that Beijio needed to be fully united. No more clans, there needed to be a unified coalition under the banner of a single Emperor than multiple Shoguns. As he got to the training yard, he removed his haori jacket, and his armor, setting them neatly to the side. He then removed his muscular form from his gi, letting the shoulders and torso fall down his exposed back and chest. His bare torso was thick, almost as wide as a Scardian Ironwood tree, his toned chest revealed muscle upon rolling muscle with a defined abdomen and wide slightly sloped shoulders. His arms were also very thick with muscle, and given his weapon of choice and upbringing, it only made sense. His multiple scars, slash marks, old bullet wounds and places where arrows had pierced through his armor. He had three in particular which he carried with the most pride; his first scar as a warrior upon his left cheek from a Noble Lord who nearly took his head; a scar upon his chest where Kaede had stabbed her blade (promptly before he proposed and made love to her several years ago), and an even older scar... A scar under his left arm pit, he received as a young boy while playing with his best friend, Val.

He smirked. Oh the shit we got into. Perhaps my parents decided to move us back to Beijio in an effort to keep either one of us from getting killed by our mischievous antics. I still don't believe we got away with entering the 'Mother of the Steppes' cave. I guess Corveyus was with us that day, preserved our luck. he thought, and then shrugged. He lifted his Zanbatō, or Beijionese Buster Sword with relative ease. Only Scardians were truly capable of wielding such, otherwise unwieldy weapons, and the Beijionese the skill to use such razor sharp weapons to a point where it could practically cut through anything. Thanks to Daichi's upbringing, he was both, and it was his birth in the lowlands of Scardia which made him capable of double strength, agility, and durability; and best of all: allowed him to meet Val.

"Hyyyah!", he exclaimed, swinging the blade one handed in a well practiced, smooth motion after standing in the center of the training yard. He was by himself today it seemed, which was fine, can't show off to everyone. "Hraaah!" he exclaimed, stepping back, swinging the massive thick blade from the side in an upward sweep, spinning the blade above his head while still in motion before grabbing the blades grip with both hands, swinging around in motion and the weight of the blade building up with momentum, and swung towards his invisible opponent behind him. He paused the blade immediately after 'slicing' the visualized generic enemy in his mind's eye; the blade was one moment carrying enough force to slice through both man and horse, but stopped so abruptly and still, the air around his blade actually dispersed and was propelled in the motion of his blade's arc.

The blade remained still, balanced and level with Daichi's even movements. He then slowly changed his form, raising the blade at an angle as he exhaled, a smooth, low and continuous gasp while he steps slowly back, leaning slightly back. ""HMMP!" he grunted, charging forward in a dead sprint, blade angled before lunging swinging its full length out, twisting his body as he then turns the stabbing motion into a full sweep, the air aiding his body as he swung in a low, quick, and complete circle twice with the massive sword in his outstretched right hand. The air or wind formed from this attack bellowed out from around him, kicking up dust and debris with a powerful wind blast which spread from Daichi's body; the air howling a low, eerie growl. He ended this 'full swing' by holding the large blade in front of him, his left hand against the non cutting edge of the weapon towards the upper half of the sword, while his right gripped the handle.

He grinned, and loosened his stance, and began practicing side swiping slashes and overhead downward strikes now that he was warmed up, his ki flowing through his veins.

From the sidelines, obscured by the shadows of the evening, stared with much lecherous intent the younger, twenty-seven year old Miko. Kagura Imai blushed, biting her lower lip as she watched the Lord Shogun train in the yard against his imaginary opponents, flexing those... taut, yet supple muscles with each swing of his mighty blade! I bet he's just as skilled with his... other blade! She licked her lower lip in a slow, creepy manner. She had been called to the palace for other business which she had duly finished with the silent, emotionless mask a doll had sitting on a shelf; but came to life when she took this shortcut!

He's not like other Beijionese men... he's built like a bear, with high charisma and supreme confidence! He isn't afraid to do what his mind tells him, and gosh... he smells amazing even when he's sweaty! She thought, and in the quarter mile around her, every person who could listen to thoughts perhaps shuttered with a sense of disgust. She wiggled her hips, compelled to stare from her hiding spot behind a statue of Frey'd the Wise, and beside a pillar which held up a portion of the palace's pagodas.

I know he's married, but... it doesn't hurt to watch~ She hummed girlishly, flirty giggles softly penetrating the air. Lord Xilong won't worry if I am a little tardy. I'll just stay a bit longer~<3

Halfway through one of his katas, Daichi felt the presence of eyes upon him from the shadows. Undetered, the grizzled Shogun continued with his exercise till it was finished, before breaking his stance. Kagura... He mentally guessed, raising the heavy blade up before leaning it across his wide shoulders. "Lady Imai..." he began, his back turned to her yet, his taut back muscles flexing subtly before he slowly turned to face her with a raised brow. "Shouldn't you be somewhere else little lady?" he smiled friendly enough. "I didn't think the task master Lord Xilong was generous enough to allow breaks in schedule."

Kagura flustered with a squeaking 'meep!' as Lord Beijiosaki addressed her adoptive house name. She chuckles, stepping out from her hiding space with a reddened face and wiped away the last traces of blood which may have or may not have dripped down from her nostrils while she... observed.

"My Lord, I am no 'Lady' it would be inaccurate to call me with such reverence." she giggles, before replying to him. "Lord Xilong doesn't require me every moment, besides I was just happening by and couldn't help myself to watching you train." the Miko replied back, crossing the court yard towards him. "Though your opponents were imaginary, I believe you displayed supreme skill in slaying your non-existent foes!" She exclaimed delightfully, her eyes closed and her lips broad and raised in an affectionate smile.

He kept his brow raised as she showered him with flattery. "Heh, well, there is a difference between a real target and an imaginary one." he then smirked with a mischievous grin. "I didn't take you as an observer type. Considering when we met, and the reputation you had before hand. I think you're lying to me Lady Imai." he then stabbed his blade into the surface of the training ground, and raised his arms. "If the Lord Dragon does not mind your delay, then how about you show off your hand to hand skills? It must get boring at the Shrine without a decent opponent to pummel." He chuckled, placing his hands upon his waist with a confident smile. In truth, he was bored with the imaginary opponents.

Kagura blinked at his offer. "Oh, my Lord, I'm not sure if I should! It would reflect poorly should I happen to injure you!" she gasped, placing her left hand upon his rigid... taught abdominal muscles. She felt light headed, her nostrils flared a little and she could feel the blood beginning to trickle down her nose once more as salacious thoughts entered her perverted mind!

Daichi's eyes narrow on the woman who was off in fantasy land as her hand rubbed up and down his abdomen. "Uh... Lady Imai..." he begins, blandly and disinterested. "I'm a happily married man, so I'd appreciate it if you'd stop that..." he sighed, grabbing her wrist gently before removing it from him. "As for injuries," he paused on his words. Lady Kagura Imai was a very... haughty woman. Her confidence goes unparalleled, to perhaps Hiyori if he was correct in his thinking; he had to choose his next words carefully without stroking her ego too much, yet not get her angry enough to turn her weapons against him. He then smirked. "Well you are skilled in the healing arts." he pats her head before turning away and getting himself in position to train hand on hand combat, regardless of her decision.

Kagura simply nodded with a gleeful expression to Daichi upon the comment of him being married, and her hand was removed gently before she felt his hand upon her head like she was child! "I'm twenty seven!" She snapped, as he walked away and got into a fighting stance. She pouted, puffing her cheeks before it sank in. "Well, you're looking at one of the best healers in this country. Not to mention sorceress." She smirks, before bowing respectively to him, stepping forward confidently.

She brought her right fist into her open palm and smiled just as confident as her approach. "I can't say I didn't warn ya my Lord." She too, slips into the 'snake style' of combat. "Just say the word my Lord." she bows her head, her smile intensified!

Daichi watched as she took up the challenge, and smirked back. "Ah... if that is the case...." he suddenly rises without stance and kept his arms low and to his sides. "You may begin... when you wish Lady Imai." He doesn't attempt to change his stance, and simply waits for her to come to him.

Kagura raised a bow at his relaxed form, and felt curious about the reasons behind it. "I'll play your game..." she replied, before charging him! She swung out her fists in a rapid flurry of strikes once she got close, her right hand she threw palm strikes while her left threw regular punches!

Daichi, using his superior speed, simply kept backing away with each strike Kagura attempted. It was subtle at first, but became more obvious as he forced her to close the distance between them, and playfully grabbed her left wrist as it came in with a punch! "Too slow Imai," he began, before pulling her wrist and guided it across her torso towards the right side of her body, applying some force that caused her to spin in that direction so that she'd lose balance and be face away from him!

He slipped his arms under hers, around her waist and held tight as he yanked her up with his legs and got ready to pull her into a South Scardian Suplex! "...how do you like, this?" he asked, throwing her backward in motion!

Elwyn lead the Prince to the training yard, where a pair of imposing men clad in armor stood opposite of them; the Emperor sat watching the Shogun, Lord Daichi Beijiosaki, toss Kagura Imai about like a ragdoll.

The Shogun turned to the approach of the Prince, and smiled. "Ah, if it aint the squirt! How ya doing your majesty?" Daichi says to Balinwulf, clapping his hands of dust, as Imai went... tumbling off. "We'll continue this another time Imai," He says with a chuckle, before pulling up the sleeves of his kimono. He turned to the Emperor who had joined to watch the sparring lesson with Imai some time ago, and then back to the Prince.
